Color Pastels

Gondola Set: For over 100 years, Gondola Pastels have been carefully handcrafted one by one by craftsmen in Kyoto, Japan.

The 36 colors in this set are an ideal assortment of basic shades and easy-to-use colors, particularly for landscapes.  The lightweight but strong paulownia wood box helps to control humidity as well as protecting the pastels (and giving a sense of luxury).  There is a black cardboard sleeve over the wood box.

Kyoto Set: The 18 colors in this set are particularly tied to the distinct seasons of Kyoto and have names such as "Wisteria Trellis in Byodoin Temple" and "Tadasu Forest Green after the Rain".  You might notice that the green of the box looks like green tea..
